No, it does not smell like beef. Our tallow is carefully rendered and purified to remove any meaty scent. What you will notice is a light natural aroma from the essential oils. The scent is subtle, clean, and earthy, not overpowering.

Will it clog pores?

No, tallow is highly compatible with our skin because its fatty acid profile is very similar to our sebum. Our tallow absorbs very easily and is deeply nourishing. Applying a small amount is key.

Shelf life is typically over 12 months. Since tallow is anhydrous (contains no water), it doesn't require synthetic preservatives. Keep it in a cool dry place, and close the lid tight after use.
